Who We Are
POWERCO Credit Union is a cooperative financial institution based in Gahanna, Ohio. We provide loans, savings, checking, and many other financial services. We do not operate for profits, we operate to serve our Members. Any revenue generated is returned to our Members through better rates and improved services.

Savings are insured to a minimum of $250,000 through the National Credit Union Administration, a federal agency.

Who Can Join
In order to open an account and take advantage of the services that POWERCO offers, you must first verify that you are eligible to become a member of the Credit Union. A $5 deposit is required to open an account.

Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Franklin County (Ohio) is eligible to join Powerco Credit Union.

If you meet any one of the criteria listed below, you are eligible to become a member of POWERCO Credit Union, Inc.

• Employees or retirees of American Electric Power, Inc.
• Employees or retirees of Columbus & Southern
  Electric Company Employees or retirees of Ohio Power Company
• Employees or retirees EMH&T
• Members and employees of IBEW Local #683, Local #71, and Local #1105 and their family members
• Members of Sheet Metal Workers Local #24
• Members of Roofers Local #86
• Employees of the Internal Revenue Service
• Employees of NAPA Automotive

Powerco can also provide credit union services to employees of companies outside of Franklin County if the company agrees to become a Select Employer Group (SEG) of Powerco. Becoming a SEG is nothing more than signing a document that states the employer agrees to allow Powerco to offer credit union services to their employees.

You are also eligible to join if you are a ....

• Family member of an employee or retiree of the above listed companies or of an existing member.

(A family member is defined as a spouse and any relative by blood, marriage, or adoption.)
