Who Can Join
In order to open an account and take advantage of the services that POWERCO offers, you must first verify that you are eligible to become a member of the Credit Union. A $5 deposit is required to open an account.
Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Franklin County (Ohio) is eligible to join Powerco Credit Union.
Powerco can also provide credit union services to employees of companies outside of Franklin County if the company agrees to become a Select Employer Group (SEG) of Powerco. Becoming a SEG is nothing more than signing a document that states the employer agrees to allow Powerco to offer credit union services to their employees.
Family members of existing members are also eligible for membership into Powerco Credit Union. For the purposes of eligibility, a family member is defined as a spouse and any relative by blood, marriage or adoption.
